Every new school year brings along a host of new challenges. Whether it be submitting assignments on time, maintaining good grades, or just waking up on time to come to school, it is always hard to get back into the swing of things after enjoying a summer of no school or academic commitments. Fortunately, I was able to find some of the best study hacks that are sure to make the 2024-25 school year a successful one!
Create an Agenda
Agendas do not have to be physical notebooks. Instead, there are many helpful online tools to keep notes, dates, and assignments organized. A few of the best free online agendas/planners are Notion, Todoist, Google Calendar, and Trello. The notion is my favorite, and since I started using it, I have been very productive and on top of all of my schoolwork.
Take Fun Notes
Taking pretty or “aesthetic” notes can help you be more apt to study them. Utilize markers, highlighters, and colorful pens. Artistic notes can also be easier to remember during tests or assignments, especially if you are a visual learner.
Teach
Sometimes, the best way to study is to teach the topic to another person. Teaching the concept to another person can also help you better understand the material! If it is difficult to answer questions about the topic, then you will have a better idea of what you need to focus on when studying.
Flashcards!
Flashcards are a great way to remember terms, especially for vocab quizzes. Writing out physical flashcards is not for everyone, so typing them up on Quizlet is also helpful. Flashcards are great for memorization and are easily accessible anywhere.
