There is something extra special about spending a Friday night under the lights.
At Somerville High school, the Pioneer Pack is the loudest in the stands. From Somerville to Summit, every game feels like a home field advantage thanks to the pack’s unmatched energy, spirit and support for their football team.
Week after week, the pack continues to show up dressed on theme with their faces painted, ready to knock down the opposing team through with their voices.

This year, seniors PJ Baldoni and Jenna Schworn lead the pack, bringing the energy every week.
They plan chants, rally the student body and coordinate dress-up themes, making sure the atmosphere is unforgettable.
“Because we’re all seniors, we want to make the pack as special as it can be,” Jenna said.
With football season coming to a close shortly, she adds, “I love the pack. It’s just so much fun, especially basketball season.”

While every school may have a student section, the pack’s presence and spirit is unrivaled.
When asked how the pack influences you as a player, senior football players Ceanan Zlatkov and Dan Tillisch said, “The pack brings the community together and we enjoy running through the tunnel after a win.”
Through coordination with Somerville cheer, the new “Do It” chant intensifies the sense of unity already fostered within the student section.
But whether it’s creating new chants or using the old ones, the pack is a long standing Somerville High School tradition that will never lose its charm.
