The best night for country music just passed, The 2024 Country Music Awards. They took place in Nashville, Tennessee, for the fifty-seventh time on November 20, 2024. The CMAs showcase not only popular country artists but also up-and-coming artists, presenting them with a chance in the spotlight. The CMA awards are voted on by members of the Country Music Association, within twelve categories. Throughout the night, countless spectacular artists put on shows that fans will never forget, celebrating all of their accomplishments throughout the year.
The first award of the night went to Morgan Wallen for Entertainer of the Year. The competition was tough, but his amazing One Night at a Time Tour definitely deserved this award!
The next award went to Cody Johnson for his Album of the Year, Leather. Showcasing a total of twelve incredibly written and played songs, Cody took home the trophy for this one!
Female Vocalist of the Year went to Lainey Wilson! Wilson’s distinct voice and talent put her way ahead of the competition.
Next up, Male Vocalist of the Year was awarded to Chris Stapleton! His unique voice and classic country style allowed him to take the trophy home that night.
Vocal Group of the Year for 2024 went to Old Dominion. Any OG country fan has heard their famous albums, which have captivated crowds for years, and gave them a clear shot at winning this award.
The 2024 Vocal Duo award went to Brooks and Dunn. Talk about classic country music! Going up against another four groups – they stole the hearts of millions of country music listeners this year and has for nearly thirty years.
New Artist of the Year went to Megan Moroney. Showing the country universe all of the immense talent she possesses, she continues on to impress more and more people every day – especially now with her sold-out shows on her upcoming Am I Okay? Tour.
Event of the Year was taken home by the beautifully sounding Ella Langley and Riley Green, with their duet of “You Look Like you Love Me.” This version of Langley’s song broke the global scale of country music. It has been all over the internet these past few months, reaching the tops of charts all around the country.
