On October 4th, 2024, Somerville High School hosted one of the biggest games of the year.
Our homecoming game was a huge success, ending with a 41-0 victory over Summit!
Both the game and halftime show were outstanding.
Congratulations to all football players, guard members, band members, and cheerleaders.
This game had a particularly fun halftime show, announcing the homecoming court for each grade and the overall king and queen of the night. Congratulations to Jobin Mathai (9th), Trey Gonzales (9th), Jackson Przybylski (10th), Faith Hughes (10th), Hudson Resner (11th), Carol Gurney (11th), Riley Desarno (12th), Tiana Nguyen (12th), Madison Blanchard (12th), and Owen Melchione (12th). Madison and Owen were crowned as our king and queen of the night! Though the game was entertaining, many people were looking forward to the dance in the upcoming weeks.
Then, on October 19th, the homecoming dance brought in over two hundred students to the school. The turnout was amazing, as was the night itself.
The DJ played a mix of pop hits, rap, and nostalgic throwbacks.
With a simple survey, it turns out the most popular colors for this year’s attire were black, blue, and pink. Overall, both the dance and the game were huge successes. Well done to everyone involved!
