Congratulations to senior Brian Linck!
Brian’s post graduation plan is to attend Hunterdon County Polytech for Plumbing. He will also work full time as an apprentice until he reaches the 4 year mark. After that he will graduate from the program and begin his journey as a licensed plumber.
With an extracurricular unlike most high school students, Brian is currently a certified volunteer firefighter in both Branchburg and Readington Township. He has plans to search for a paid firefighter position in the future as well!
Brian described his high school experience as feeling out of place as his ultimate focus was success on top of juggling school responsibilities. He realized that when surrounded with the pressure and competitiveness of high school, “there’s so much more to life than a report card or credentials that supposedly define a person’s value.” Brian recalls his favorite memories being when his best friends still went to SHS, as a few have moved. While his high school experience might have been difficult to maneuver, he says that “everything I went through was God’s plan for me which has shaped me into the person I am today.”
Brian left underclassmen and incoming high schoolers with these words of advice: “You will not regret it. You will be coming out of highschool, making money and it only goes up from there. One day you could create your own business and be the most successful person amongst all. Just remember, it will all work out in the end. Never give up on your dream, do whatever it takes, Because it will come.”
Best of luck, Brian!
